A Message from GNI about COVID-19

An Important Message from Gay Naturists International (GNI)

The world is grappling with an issue of enormous scale and human impact, and our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19). GNI believes it is our role and responsibility during this time to prioritize two things: the health and well-being of our members and Gathering attendees while also playing a constructive role in supporting local health and government officials as they work to contain the virus. To that end, we would like to make a formal announcement:

Gay Naturists International (GNI's) 35th Anniversary Gathering - GNI's Naked Camp - will take place as planned August 21-30, 2020 in eastern Pennsylvania. GNI is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of attendees in light of concerns about COVID-19, commonly known as the coronavirus.

We are closely monitoring developments and staying abreast of updates from health organizations responsible for tracking and responding to the virus, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), European Centre fo r Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Australian Department of Health.

GNI is prepared to rapidly respond to any issues prior to our event and provide assistance as the need arises before August 21. We are taking the following actions to prepare:
  • Adhering to all guidance and recommended safety measures issued by the WHO, CDC, the Pennsylvania Department of Health Services, and local health organizations.
  • Working with the Gathering's venue to coordinate appropriate safety procedures.
  • Following CDC recommendations and protocols for heightened cleanliness at event facilities, including increasing the number of hand sanitizing stations located throughout the venue.
  • Actively encouraging attendees to take common-sense precautions and follow CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of illness.
GNI is taking COVID-19 very seriously and is fully engaged and prepared to host a successful 35thAnniversary Gathering.

While no one can predict with certainty how severe the impact of coronavirus will be in five months, we will be constantly monitoring the situation. We encourage attendees to visit the CDC website and government websites of their own country for additional information and follow the WHO's Travel Advice as they consider their travel arrangements, as well as its recommendations for prote cting themselves. In addition, we will be closely monitoring all travel alerts issued by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the coming months, if any.

Thank you for being a loyal member and supporter of GNI. It is our intent to remain transparent, providing the latest information from GNI here. We're very grateful for your ongoing support and look forward to seeing you in August.
